Men Are Naturally Good; Choose to See Goodness.

I have an office mate whom I find difficult to deal with especially the past few months. She doesn't mingle with us or have snack with us. She barely talk to us; only if work requires. Sometimes I can hear people talking about her saying that she is a snob or she is a difficult person. A year ago, she wasn't like that. She is not the jolly type but she talks to us and eat with us. We dont know what happen especially that none of us is really close to her.

Amazingly, yesterday we saw some changes on her. She approached us for a small talk and ate with us as well. And then, someone told me that she was actually going through as heartbreak. I know it's difficult, I've felt it before so now I began to understand her actions.

Because of this I was reminded that human being are naturally good. Sometimes, it is the situation we're in which influences our actions but that doesn't mean we really meant to behave like a mean person. We all encounter difficulties in life. If you feel like someone is being rude to you, dont jump into a conclusion that he is really a rude person. Try to understand him/her, who knows he/she might be going through tough times and needs someone to talk to, maybe you.

People may not always behave the way they should, but dont throw a stone on them. Always choose to believe in the goodness of their hearts.

...soon to be Mrs. V!

I was expecting him to come visit me in our house on Sunday afternoon (9/27/2015) after church service...the night came and still no trace of him and I thought he's not coming at all...
then at 10pm he came with a paper bag in his hand and he asked me to go inside the room for a while because he need to set up something in the living room. I was suspicious and wanted to know what it is so he had a hard time to convince me but because he said he'll get mad, I followed. I went to our veranda and after less than 5mins, he asked me to come inside. Our song "thousand years" welcomed me with rose petals arranged with the words "Will You?" and a heart with my favorite green mango in the middle.
The moment I saw it, I knew what it was so I hugged him tight right away and never wanna let go. He was trying to let go to kneel but I wouldn't let him. I just wanna hug him tight. I can't explain what I'm feeling at that moment. All I know is that Im the happiest girl.

We danced all night with our song playing over and over again and at around 12midnight he finally managed to kneel (because I finally let go from hugging him). He picked up the green mango and to my surprise, the ring was inside it! I though it was somewhere in his pocket. He opened the box and asked me the question...ofcourse, I said YES!

When we went there I was only looking for a wonderful lunch in the waterfalls but I got so much more than what I expected. And so, though the price maybe a little expensive, I'd say it's all worth it!
Below are some of the things I love about this trip:

1. The yummy SPECIAL BIBINGKA from manong vendor who went up in our bus on our way to villa escudero! For only 20php, it is served hot with butter, salted egg & buko on top! Definitely better than the pricey "bibingkinitan" sold at the malls. So if you happen to encounter him on your way, please TRY it out, BUY some!

2. Travel time is only 2 hrs & 1 bus ride from Alabang. You don't have to go too far for a vacation. It's like a paradise within your reach!

3. Fresh air...plants, flowers, trees everywhere the resort.. very close to nature.. really a nice place to relax! I can just sit all day beside the river & feel the breeze of the air & watch the birds.

4. Buffet: serves typical Filipino food and they all taste good.

5. Macadamia nut coffee! Must try!

6. The cultural show after lunch is a must watch! I was touched by their performances not just because they are too good or they are very talented but because of the fact that the performers are also the employees of the resort...from gardeners to cooks & waitresses and even the grandchild of the employees are performing.

7. It feels good to be serenaded while riding a carabao cart.

8. The rooms are inspired by traditional Filipino house, bahay kubo. The interior is cute and the room is clean..very nice ambiance.

9. In the middle of the night I was awakened by the sound coming from kuliglig (cricket). It gives me the feeling that I'm really in a province, it feels nice & I woke up with a smile. Back in metro manila your sleep will be disturbed by loud noises from cars, videoke, etc.

10. Friendly staff.

Butuan - Dahican Davao: Part 1

I've been seeing a lot of post about the Enchanted River, it caught my interest and booked a ticket to Butuan! And because I also want to witness the famous Kadayawan Festival in Davao, our flight back to Manila will be from Davao. The funny thing is, I booked the wrong date and just realize it a month before our trip. I thought Kadayawan will be on weekend Aug 15-16, but I was wrong, it's Aug 22-23 for this year! ...and so change of plans...no Kadayawan for us this year & need to replace our itinerary....searching..searching...searching...and it's been decided! ...we went to Dahican after Butuan! T'was an awesome trip! Davao never failed me...It's becoming my favorite destination here in PH!

Date of Travel: Aug 12- 16, 2015

Below is our budget & itinerary, with some notes from our trip:
We will discuss more about our experience on the next blogs ^__^

Note: First bus trip to Mangagoy, Bislig is 2am and after that that, buses arrives every after 2hrs. While waiting for the first trip, we spent hours  playing, watching, drinking coffee (10php each) at the bus terminal. You also have a choice to ride a van but we opted to ride the bus for more leg room.

Note: We stayed at Marky's inn/hostel in Hinatuan b'coz most bloggers recommend it but if you're OC about the CR this is not the place for you. What I like about Marky's is the friendly owner but if I will go back to Hinatuan, I will try other inns.
I didn't quite like the room where we stayed in at marky's because of the comfort room. The water on the floor does not go down right away, it takes time & it feels like your CR is flooded, you have to wait before the water goes down. The toilet bowl is too small and too low, it feels like your almost sitting on the floor. CR is a big factor for me when choosing a room that's why I requested for a room with private CR but I was disappointed with the one we had at Marky's, I think their common CR is even better.

Notes:
-If you want to see the bluish color of the enchanted river go there in the afternoon because in the morning it's more of a greenish color. According to locals, it's because of the high tide-low tide stuff.
-try the breads at the bakery near the mati city terminal (sorry I forgot the name). Certified yummy & affordable! We bought some as a baon to Dahican beach.

Note: At first we were planning to surf but the waves are not enough for surfing so we just tried skim boarding.

We will discuss more about our experience on the next blogs ^__^
