When we went there I was only looking for a wonderful lunch in the waterfalls but I got so much more than what I expected. And so, though the price maybe a little expensive, I'd say it's all worth it!
Below are some of the things I love about this trip:

1. The yummy SPECIAL BIBINGKA from manong vendor who went up in our bus on our way to villa escudero! For only 20php, it is served hot with butter, salted egg & buko on top! Definitely better than the pricey "bibingkinitan" sold at the malls. So if you happen to encounter him on your way, please TRY it out, BUY some!

2. Travel time is only 2 hrs & 1 bus ride from Alabang. You don't have to go too far for a vacation. It's like a paradise within your reach!

3. Fresh air...plants, flowers, trees everywhere the resort.. very close to nature.. really a nice place to relax! I can just sit all day beside the river & feel the breeze of the air & watch the birds.

4. Buffet: serves typical Filipino food and they all taste good.

5. Macadamia nut coffee! Must try!

6. The cultural show after lunch is a must watch! I was touched by their performances not just because they are too good or they are very talented but because of the fact that the performers are also the employees of the resort...from gardeners to cooks & waitresses and even the grandchild of the employees are performing.

7. It feels good to be serenaded while riding a carabao cart.

8. The rooms are inspired by traditional Filipino house, bahay kubo. The interior is cute and the room is clean..very nice ambiance.

9. In the middle of the night I was awakened by the sound coming from kuliglig (cricket). It gives me the feeling that I'm really in a province, it feels nice & I woke up with a smile. Back in metro manila your sleep will be disturbed by loud noises from cars, videoke, etc.

10. Friendly staff.
